A Conversation With Ed Viesturs
Outback Issue 32
It was becoming routine, the process of climbing the world's tallest mountain, with lines forming at points over 25,000 feet. The right guide (and a hefty check) virtually assured a successful summit of the Everest. Outback spoke with Ed Viesturs, climbing leader of an IMAX filming expedition. He was on Everest when eight people, including two of the most experienced guides on earth, lost their lives in a violent storm.
